Although the towering sails echo a bygone era of explorers, the Wind Star is completely modern in concept and design. Passengers see the Mediterranean from a sailing ship featuring luxurious accommodations, casual atmosphere, and fine service and cuisine. The ships can sail to harbors that larger ships cannot access. Windstar does not encourage children to sail on these adult voyages, and no provision is made to entertain or care for kids.
